In this second follow-up show, Ian talks about how he finally got grounded and found the support he desperately needed through support and counselling, family and friends, and his Christian faith. Listen to podcast.
Ian spent 14 years working for the USA Government in various conflict zones around the world. During that time Ian was involved in many situations that were not easy to process mentally. This left him unable to deal with emotions in a normal constructive way.
When Ian finished his employment he came home with a broken body, broken mind and a broken heart. CPTSD (Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) soon set in and the downhill spiral to alcohol, depression and thoughts of ending his own life took control of his day-to-day.
Ian’s journey back from dark places is an amazing story of God’s healing power. Ian says, “There is a way through everything. You must look to Jesus. You must stay focused on Jesus.”
Ian has since been blessed with a wife and two children and loves volunteering at his church – a life saved and so drastically restored by God.
A Christian-based ministry to all men, to help them grow and be the men God created them to be; to find faith in Christ, and also find community in an atmosphere of fellowship, camaraderie, openness, honesty, and support around other men in small, and potentially Momentum small groups.
