About our Guest

Ian

Ian spent 14 years working for the USA Government in various conflict zones around the world. During that time Ian was involved in many situations that were not easy to process mentally. This left him unable to deal with emotions in a normal constructive way.

When Ian finished his employment he came home with a broken body, broken mind and a broken heart. CPTSD (Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) soon set in and the downhill spiral to alcohol, depression and thoughts of ending his own life took control of his day-to-day.

Ian’s journey back from dark places is an amazing story of God’s healing power. Ian says, “There is a way through everything. You must look to Jesus. You must stay focused on Jesus.”

Ian has since been blessed with a wife and two children and loves volunteering at his church – a life saved and so drastically restored by God.

Hi just wondering if Ian does any talks or Ministers somewhere, myself and a few mates had a listen and felt so drawn to his victory over depression and dealing with PTSD. We are also ex service and find it hard to talk to people who have not actively served.
